Start Here: Conflict Doesn't Need to Be Impossible

Conflict is a natural aspect of human relationships and interactions. Most people have difficulty approaching conflict because they don't know what to say. Unhealthy approaches to conflict can take one of two avenues, both based on a reactive state of mind and body:

  • Fight: Allowing our emotions to steer the conversation often leads to the use of unkind words, unfounded or exaggerated accusations, raised voices, and, in the worst cases, physical aggression.
  • Flight: Minimizing or avoiding the conflict creates fertile ground for resentment, passive micro-aggressions, unresolved emotions, mistrust, miscommunications, and, at its worst, the dissolution of the relationship.

How we address and resolve conflicts can significantly impact the quality of our relationships and our overall well-being. This guide is designed to assist individuals in effectively navigating conflicts by understanding their emotions, communicating effectively, and working towards resolution.
